courtney love

I have to have some famous Americans in my portfolio. I hope I can make nine, in another block, like the one I have already, with non famous non Americans. Yes, Canadians too, I can draw famous Canadians too. You can make suggestions in the comment box. I could do Neil Young. No, not Céline Dion. Bob Dylan and Madonna (not Canadian, I know) are very drawable. Come on, name me some more.

Just because Celine Dion is crap doesn't mean she couldn't make a fun drawing!

Hmm, thinking of interesting faces.

Bette Midler
Oprah Winfrey
John Malkovich
Jim Carrey (isn't he Canadian?)
Noah Wyle
Alex Kingston (okay, she's English but she's in an American soap and would make a great subject)

More later!

How 'bout some authors? Margaret Atwood has a great face, and so does Farley Mowat. And of course, the late great Mordecai Richler.

How about some famous Canadian visual artists? Bill Reid, Emily Carr, Jack Shadbolt, Gathie Falk come to mind though there are lots out there, also not quite so famous ones...

How about Faith Hill! I bet you would do her good!

Thank you everyone! Great help. I think I'm going to try some of Daisy's list first. I really need faces that stand out and that everybody knows. And yes, Jim Carrey is Canadian. Being Canadian is like being Belgian. As soon as somebody has made it, everybody forgets their nationality. Jaques Brel? René Margritte? Adolphe Sax?

Alissa Milano, Drew Barrymore, Michelle Pfeifer, Sigourney Weaver, Susan Sarandon, Bono, Conor Oberst, Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Kiefer Sutherland, Andy Warhol, Prinses Di, Mahatma Ghandi, Kevin Spacey

Avril Lavigne, Sam Roberts, Leonard Cohen, Mike Myers, Jack Layton, and there has to be a hockey player : Wayne Gretzky, or José Théodore the Montréal Canadians goalie ? In the category of people we don't like but who would make a good drawing : I agree about Celine Dion, also Don Cherry is pretty colorful.

groetjes
Ineke

Am i too late? Although she's neither, i'd love to see what you could do with Cate Blanchett... she's got such a distinctive face.
