On a public forum, it used to be that if someone asks you a question, and you don't know the answer, it is preferrable to keep quiet. Not everyone may notice that you don't have the answer. But if you give the wrong answer, *everyone* is going to notice that you don't know.
This no longer works if someone pays you to answer questions.
