You can create a feed for any topic you like with del.icio.us
For example, say you're interested in encyclopedias, the URL for that would be
http://del.icio.us/tag/encyclopedia
to get an RSS feed, you'd have to use the following URL:
http://del.icio.us/rss/tag/encylopedia
If you add that to your feed reader (Thunderbird 1.5 ) has a nice one that's really easy to set up and use, you'll be notified whenever a del.icio.us user has bookmarked a page and tagged it with "encyclopedia".
Perhaps not quite as useful, but who knows, is flickr. To create a feed for all photo's tagged with "encyclopedia", you would create this URL: http://www.flickr.com/services/feeds/photos_public.gne?tags=encyclopedia&format=rss_200
A graphic encyclopedia. Or rather, an encyclopedia on graphic designers. Organized by country.
The Cyclopedia was the not the first encyclopedia, but probably the first that we would now recognize as one. First published in by Ephraim Chambers in 1728, with a second edition in 1838 and with editions to follow between 1739 an 1752, iit was nvertheless available to only very few people. It is now available to all of us, thanks to the University of Wisconsin Digital Collections Center.
